Ramon Rodriguez.
 Cornellà de Ll. 1979

He studied tabla and Hindustani music with Pankaj Suhash at the Swami Shivananda Ramesh Music & Arts School in Rishikesh, India. Carnatic music, Kanjeera and Konnakol with Selvaganesh Vinnayakram and Uma Shankar at Sri Jaya Ganesh Tala Vadya Vidyalaya in Chennai, India. Escola de Música Moderna de Badalona, solfeggio, ethnic percussion, music ensembles in jazz-bossa nova, flamenco and salsa. He has played with Coetus & Eliseo Parra, Iberic Percussion Orquestra with whom he recorded the CD “Coetus” (Temps Records). He has also played with Marina Rossell & Coetus, recording the CD “Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona” (Harmonia Mundi). Recorded for Pep Gimeno “Botifarra” on the CD “Te’n cantaré mes de mil”.  He has also toured with folk artist Miquel Gil.

 


Alexandre Guitart Luengo.
 Barcelona, 1980.

Studies piano and music theory. Percussion at Aula de Música Moderna de Barcelona. Studies drumming with Quim Soler, Jaume Catà, Ruy López-Nusa. Extensive training in Cuba with Justo Pelladito at Tumbadores, in Istanbul (Turkey) with Mustafa Dogan in the art of Saz and Tanbur, and in India, currently studying Konnakol (Hindu rhythmic language) and mrindangam with renowned master Karaikkudi R. Mani. Training in scenic arts at Aula de Teatre de Mataró with different teachers such as Quim Lecina, Jordi Farrés, Joan Serrats…
He has worked with different bands including Dusminguet, Neila Benbey, Carles Mestre y La Sinfónicade Gava, and Cia. Alba Sarraute among others. He joined the company Comediants for various shows such as “Dimonis” or “Sarau”.

 

Aniol López. Girona, 1979.

Self-taught percussionist specialized in Arabic and Mediterranean percussion, studies music theory at Taller de Músics in Barcelona and at Sound Fabrika, Istanbul, where he studies Darbuka with Hakan Kaya and Bünyamin Olguncan. He studies Tombak and Daf with Majid Javadi and Massud Naderi, playing Radif (Persian repertoire). He has performed with different bands and artists including: La Banda del Surdo, Asikides, Barbod, Kallimera Kalinijita, Yacine & Oriental Groove, Moöndo, Dafnia, Hamid Kabalazi, Perham Nassepoor, Yannis Papaioanou, Reza Samani, Mark Helm…

He has played at different Oriental dance and world music festivals as a soloist in Egyptian modality, as well as in shows of world percussions for children.

 


David Sitges-Sardà.
 Barcelona, 1979

Studies piano and music theory at Escola de Música de Barcelona, directed by the Claret brothers. In 1994 he discovered the drums and took lessons at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona. In 1998 he began his studies in Philosophy at UAB, graduating in 2003. During that period he founded the post-rock band Shanty Rd., with whom he released an EP (Maider, Marry Me 1999) and one CD (Finally, Bcore disc 2002), touring many times around the Iberian peninsula and playing more than one hundred shows. He has also come into contact with the film industry, winning the ViñaRock award for a road movie and composing soundtracks for short films, video, dance, documentaries and theatre. Currently he is a member of Tarannà, a fusion septet. They have released 3 CD’s Senyals de Vida (Bankrobber ’07) Pintades d’amor i de guerra (Bankrobber ’09) and Oda al Folklore (Autoedition ‘11), and toured throughout Catalonia and Switzerland, also collaborating with free improviser pianist Agustí Fernández.

 


Jaume Coll Sanchez.
 Badalona, 1972.

Studies music theory, drums and bass at Escola de Musica Moderna de Badalona. Member of Ad Libitum,Le Circ, Maracatú, Jeroglífic and TrioJazz. He has been in different collaborations in street theatre shows with the company Xirriquiteula Teatre, including Girafes and Les Percus. He attends corporal expression workshop at Can Felipa, imparted by Ada Vilaró, interpretation workshop at Tàrrega Fira, with Adrian Schvarzstein and Miri Yeffet. and improvisation workshop with Iolanda Llansó of Xirriquiteula Teatre. Currently studying harmony, music theory and electric bass at Escola de Música Moderna de Badalona.

 


Raúl Pérez Armero.
 Sant Cugat del Vallès, 1984

He studies drums with masters Quim Solé and Toni Pagès. He studies music theory at Taller de Músics de Barcelona and Aula de Música Moderna del Liceu, and theatre at El Timbal. He has performed and performs with different bands and companies: Skamarlans, La Puerta de Los Sueños, BCN Gospel Messengers, Toc de Retruc, Circus Klezmer, Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida, Raúl Pulido, Jove Orquestra Simfònica del Baix Llobregat…

He composed the soundtrack for the movie La Jugada (Spain, 2005) and recorded Aire Lliure (La Porta dels Somnis 2010), among others.
